Country wide protest against Quetta tragedy

Sit in Out side governor House 18-02-13Sit in outside governor Housewp-att-16950″>Sit in against killing og Hazara BratheryLahore: Countrywide protests were held on Monday in wake of Quetta tragedy, with national flag lowered at half mast in the Punjab and Balochistan while Sit-ins were being held in different parts of Lahore on the call of the Shia Ulema Council over the latest carnage in Quetta that has claimed at least 84 lives.

Thousands of people gave sit in at Tokhar Niaz Baig, Imamia Colony Phatak and out side the Governor House. City traffic was jammed every where in the town due to these sit ins. Women and children were also taking part in the sit-ins.

Lahore Bar Council observed black day and to boycott the courts proceeding as a protest against the Quetta blast.
The protesters and participants of the sit-ins say they would continue to demonstrate until the demands of the heirs of those killed and wounded in the bombing are not met.

In Quetta‚ people of Hazara tribe are holding a protest outside an Imambargah placing the dead bodies of the martyrs of Karani road blast.

A Punjab Government spokesman said to mourn the death of innocent people in Quetta blast‚ the National Flag will be lowered at half mast in the province.
