Lahore: Punjab Finance Department has issued notification of the up-gradation of the posts of Stenographer, Senior Scale Stenographer, Private Secretary and Personal Assistant.
According to the notification, the post of Private Secretary has been upgraded from BS-16 to BS-17, post of Personal Assistant and Senior Scale Stenographer from BS-15 to BS-16 and the post of Stenographer from BS-12 to BS-14. The up-gradation will be effective from December 23, 2011.
On the up-gradation of the post of Private Secretary, the special pay attached with the post will continue to be admissible on the existing rates. The same will be merged/discontinued on promotion/shifting from the post of Private Secretary. Similarly, on up-gradation of the post of Personal Assistant, the special pay attached with the post will continue to be admissible on the existing rates to make difference amongst the cadres of Senior Scale stenographer and Personal Assistant.
