Punjab government will provide security to the long march

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Rana Sanaullah has said federal government is intimating that there can be a number of threats to the processions of long march. He said that a call of Hakimullah Mahsood has also been recorded in which he is asking for a suicide attack and a vehicle. Similarly, according to the information ‘Ghazi Fidai Force’ has also completed its preparation. Names of suicide attackers have also been given which included Tehrik-e-Taliban. Ehsan Ullah Ehsan had contradicted it yesterday, now it will be the responsibility of Punjab. Punjab government will provide security to the long march and letters have been received in this regard.

Rana Sanaullah said that Chief Minister Punjab has also received a letter from Tahir ul Qadri that there are a number of dangers at a time, it might be a suicide or a vehicle attack. The people will not be allowed to gather around the public meeting. Tahir ul Qadri has been informed that no vehicle will be allowed to enter in his caravan without search and no person can joint it without passing through “walk through gates”. He said that democracy gives the right of protest according to law.

If this protest is peaceful then it is alright otherwise we are going to provide protection as per letters and threats received. He said that government will consider the situation arising from yesterday as such public meetings and processions had also been attacked in the past.
