Nawaz Sharif demands immediate announcement of the election schedule

Lahore:Former Prime Minister and PML-N president Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Nation is going to elect new government through ballot first time in 65 years of the country’s history.We would not allow to postpone the general elections in the name of accountability and the reforms.People take the consistency of the democracy, their basic right.Pakistan would not afford uncertain situations in present scenario. Those who are trying to derail the democracy, are fond of dictatorship and putting the future of Pakistan in danger.He expressed these views while presiding over the high level party meeting here in Lahore today. CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Senator Ishaq Dar, Mushahid Ullah Khan,Ahsan Iqbal, Senator Pervaiz Rashid,Maryam Nawaz,Hassan Nawaz,Hamza Shahbaz Sharif,Khawaja Saad Rafique,Khurram Dastgir,Sami Ullah Khan and others also attended the meeting.

Nawaz Sharif said when there were a few weeks remaining in general elections,march on the capital would not be beneficial for the democratic system.People expect that all the state institutions will remain in their constitutional limits and will play only the role that is bestowed them, the law.People are thinking that they are gonna deprived the right to choose a good government through vote by a conspiracy.The announcement of the elections schedule would be the best option to end this uncertainty.Nation is ready for peaceful democratic change,so in these circumstances the people who are trying to destabilize the democratic system ,could never be friends of Pakistan,he added.

Nawaz Sharif said the nation was seeing the people who were backing the attackers,all these people were remained friends of the dictators in the past,he concluded.
