Sabzazar police busted gang involved in theft of more than 100 cars

Lahore: SP Saddar Division Adeel Hussain Chandio disclose to media in his press conference held at Sabzazar Police Station, Anwar alias Haji Car lifter gang was busted by Sabzazar police effecting arrest of three accused including the ringleader. As many as 20 cars valuing Rs 10.7 millions were recovered from the arrested accused.

According to detail SP Saddar told the media that on the directions of DIG Operations Muhammad Tahir Rai to initiate steps for curbing the trend of car snatching and theft besides effecting recovery of the stolen vehicles. He formed a team under the supervision of DSP Sabzazar Syed Iqbal Hussain Shah to arrest the car lifter. SHO Sabzazar Husnain Haider Shah and other officials worked day & night to arrested Anwar alias Haji gang and recovered stolen vehicles include 3 Toyota Corolla, 12 Suzuki Mehran, three Coure and two Suzuki Cultus.

The accused Muhammad Anwar alias Haji, Amjad Kharal and Muhammad Azam confessed different crimes of car theft & snatching.

The police raiding party comprised SI Muhammad Siddique, T/ASIs Mumd Shahbaz and Amir Hussain, Constables Munir Ahmed, Muhammad Munir, Muhammad Asif, Aqeel Ahmed, Muhammad Amir, Muhammad Khan and Muhammad Rafiuqe.

DIG Operations Muhammad Tahir Rai has announced cash award and commendation certificates for the raiding party.
