We provided cheap justice to people: Ch. Parvaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi has questioned how those who have created record for worst rule in Punjab will make a new Pakistan? He said present govt. of the province has utterly failed in solving the peoples’ problems and has demonstrated its inefficiency and incapability in every matter.

He said this while talking to a delegation of Nankana District Bar which called on him here today. The lawyers’ delegation was headed by Ch Haq Nawaz advocate and included former MNA Mehr Shahid Manzur Gill, Malik Khizar Hayat Awan, Rai Haq Naqaz Kharal and Rana Javed Iqbal among others.

Ch Parvaiz Elahi said that the PML govt. had rendered tremendous service to the people, people of the Punjab still remember these great services even today and vowed if granted another opportunity by Almighty Allah, we will create new records of development in every field. He said during our tenure in the Punjab, prosecution service was introduced for the first time in the history of Pakistan and provided facility to the common for allaying complaints and payment of compensation through Consumer Courts besides establishing lawyers colonies in the province, construction of lawyers chambers and special attention was paid to provision of facilities to the litigants in the courts, as result of our these measures provision of cheap justice to the people was facilitated.

He said that the lawyers play an important role in setting trends in any society and as such they should join hands with us in promotion of our positive trends.

The delegation expressed gratitude to Ch Parvaiz Elahi for granting district status to Nankana and rendering great services for the development and solution of peoples problems in every area of the province besides Nankana and invited him to address District Bar Nankana which he accepted.
