Lahore: Provincial Education Minister Shuja ur Rehman has said that followers of all the religions are free to perform their religious rituals in Pakistan. He said that all the Prophets have given the message of peace, love and harmony. We will have to foil the nefarious designs of our enemies with the force of unity, he added. He said that our enemy wants to sow seeds of differences but we should end all such evil plans to make Pakistan the country of Quaid-e-Azam in the real sense.
He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony of Christmas held at Naulakha Church. He also cut a cake of Christmas on the occasion.
Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman said that by acting upon the teachings of the Prophets, global peace can be ensured by eliminating the trends of extremism and terrorism in the present era. He asked scholars of all the religions to create the spirit of tolerance and brotherhood among the people and play their active role in the establishment of a society based on inter-religious accommodation, harmony and social equality. He said that people of all the religions have struggled for the stability of Pakistan and we will foil the evil designs of the enemy unitedly.
