CM inaugurates projects of billions of Rs in Gujjranwala

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, during his visit to Gujranwala, laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects costing more than Rs.6.5 billion. He firstly inaugurated Sialkot Road constructed at a cost of Rs.52 crore. Later, he went to Government Girls Elementary School Fareed Town and inaugurated three storey school building which was constructed at a cost of Rs.3.80 crore.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated City Sports Complex adjacent to Commissioner Office and constructed at a cost of one crore rupees, Zaib ICU constructed at Civil Hospital with an amount of Rs.50 lakh and model police station Model Town. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Hafizabad Road and Flyover on G.T. Road. The 1.7 km long flyover will cost Rs.3.61 billion whereas the reconstruction of 41 km long Hafizabad Road will cost two billion rupees.

Later, on the request of two women complainants, the Chief Minister called for a report from CPO with regard to arrest of the accused involved in murder. Amina Imtiaz, resident of Police Station Satellite Town, informed the Chief Minister that her husband had been killed four months ago. Similarly, Safia Bibi, resident of Talwandi Musa Khan, Police Station Saddar Area, also demanded the arrest of murderers of her husband, former Union Council Nazim. The Chief Minister directed CPO Abdur Razzaq Cheema to ensure arrest of the accused involved in both the cases without any delay and submit him a report in this regard at the earliest.
