Lahore: Senior Vice President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan Maulana Awais Noorani, Qari Zawar Bahadar and Pir Ijaz Hashmi called on the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today. Overall political situation of the country was discussed during the meeting.
Talking on the occasion, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan is facing serious challenges like terrorism and extremism. He said that it is high time to unite the nation. The Chief Minister stressed upon Ulema to play their role for creating religious harmony, brotherhood and promoting the sentiments of tolerance in the society. He said that they should also preach peace in their sermons.
