Peshawar:Senior Superintendent of Police Imran Shahid has said that police is prepared to maintained law & ordered in Muharram. Cameras and special forces have been deployed on the routs of processions and ways that head towards the Imam-Barghas. Afghan refugees are bound to remain in their camps and no one would be allowed to enter in the city with out computerized identity card.
While talking to media ,the SSP said supreme command post has started working at Kohati gate where deployed policemen were bound to redress the issues and complaints of the public.He said 33 cameras were installed on the procession routs and all the area would be monitored by security personal presented at the supreme post.
He said ban on pillion riding would be remain till 10th of Muharram,all the arms licence and permits would be suspended during Muharram and the people who would carry the arms would be dealt according to the law.He said armed police men were deployed on the 30 sensitive places.He appealed to public to cooperate with police and immediately inform the police when see any suspect.
