Payment has been made to the sugarcane cultivators:Mansha Ullah Butt

Lahore: On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister, hundred percent payment has been made to the sugarcane cultivators this year. Special instructions had been issued to Punjab government in this regard that sugar mills owner should be contacted for ensuring complete payment to the sugarcane growers. In a report sent to Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Mansha Ullah Butt, it has been informed that hundred percent payment has been made to the cultivators.

Mansha Ullah Butt said that Punjab government has made continues increase in the support price of sugarcane for the last three years and per maund price of sugarcane has been increased from Rs. 150 to 170 during last year. He said that strict action will be taken against those involved in short weighing and illegal deduction in the sugarcane brought by the farmers during the crushing season. He said that Punjab government is committed to give every kind of incentive to the cultivators for the prosperity of the country. He said that agriculture is the backbone of the country’s economy and the vision of Chief Minister prosperous cultivator prosperous Pakistan is being strictly implemented and process of provision of facilities to the farmers will be continued in future as well.
