PEF introduces green education program

Lahore: The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has introduced ‘green education program’ for its partner schools to sensitize the students about importance of green environment in schools and homes. This program is aimed to encourage the students’ community to play its role against the environmental degradation.

The Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Raja Muhammad Anwar stated this in a meeting at his office on Tuesday. The meeting was attended, besides others, by the Director CPDP Bushra Saeed Khan and other Program Heads.

PEF Chairman expressed the satisfaction that the students have completed trees plantation in their schools and hoped that it will promote environment-friendly atmosphere in their institutions. During the campaign, the students were also given special lecture about the importance of green environment.

Raja Anwar hoped that the green education project will sensitize the students about the importance of foliage in combating pollution especially in the big cities.

On the occasion, PEF Director CPDP Ms. Bushra Saeed Khan gave a detail of tree plantation campaign launched in the partner schools and told the subject specialists provided to the partners under schools based support program (SBSP), besides helping in improving the quality of education in science subjects, are also quite supportive in ensuring ingenious environment for the overall nourishment of the students’ personality.
