Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain, former Provincial Minister Mian Imran Masood, Ch Javaid Chattha, Raja Hamid Nawaz and Salik Hussain, who are presently on a private visit to India, offered Eid prayers and ‘nawafils’ in Ajmer Sharif at the “dargah” of Hazrat Khwaja Moeenuddin Chishti (Rehmatullah Aleyh) and offered special prayers for solidarity, stability, progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
Prior to the Eid prayers, when Ch Shujat Hussain along with the delegation reached shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA), he was greeted by the Sajjadanasheen of the ‘dargah’. Ch Shujat Hussain paid his respects at the shrine, laid floral wreath and offered “fateha”
According to a message received here from Ajmer Sharif, Ch Shujat Hussain talking on the occasion said that message of Hazrat Moinuddin Chishti (Rehmatullah Aleyh) is a message of peace, tolerance, understanding and brotherhood. He said by following teachings of this great personality, we can achieve great place in the world, it is our good luck that on the happy occasion of Eid we are in Ajmer Sharif along with our friends. He said the objective of coming to Ajmer Sharif was only to pay our respects at the dargah of Hazrat Moinuddin Chishti and offering Eid prayers in the compound of the dargah is a great honour for us.
Ch Shujat Hussain said at this shrine, Muslims, Sikhs, Hindu, Christians and others from the sub-continent and other regions around the world pay their respects without any discrimination and offer ‘dua’ according to their religion and faith.
Afterwards, ‘dastarbandi’ of Ch Shujat Hussain and other members of the delegation was performed on the occasion.
