JI urges Kashmir committee to highlight Kashmir issue

Lahore:Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that the terrorism and turmoil in the region were because of the US interference and a major struggle was required to get rid of that. He was addressing a huge Eid congregation at the Mansoora mosque here.

Syed Munawar Hasan noted that the Kashmiris had observed the 27th of October as Kashmir day. This was the day India sent its army into Held Kashmir. India had been carrying out state terrorism in the valley for the last 23 years and had killed thousands of Kashmiris who were struggling for freedom, he added.

While expressing complete solidarity with the Kashmiris in their freedom struggle, the JI Ameer stressed upon the National Kashmir Committee to play its role by highlighting India’s unprecedented atrocities in Kashmir so as to expose India’s true character as compared to its claim of being a democracy.

Syed Munawar Hasan said that all over the world, the Muslims were facing the tyrannies of the forces of Kufr. The US had run over Iraq and Afghanistan. However, the land locked Afghanistan had proved a mire for the US due to the Jehadic spirit of the Afghans. The Afghans had defeated the British and Russians in the past, now the US was facing a humiliating defeat in that country. He said that although Washington had announced pull out of its forces by 2014 but actually it had no intention to withdraw its troops alive.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that the US had entered into an agreement with India and Afghanistan under which it aimed at building India as regional policeman.

In fact, he said, both US and India were hostile to Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal and wanted either to wipe it out or place it under UN control.

The JI Ameer also referred to the double standards of the west and said for the last 65 years, Pakistan never got so much attention from the western media as had been given in the Malala incident. The question was, why had the western media been silent over the killing of thousands of innocent Pakistanis over the years, he asked. About two dozen Pakistani soldiers were martyred at the Salala military post but the US authorities did not offer an apology on that. On the other hand, the entire west, including US President Obama and US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton had been disturbed over the attack on 4 year’s old Malala incident.

Later talking to the media men, Syed Munawar Hasan greeted the Hajjis from all over the world, especially the Pakistanis on the performance of the important religious duty. He urged the Muslim rulers to heed to the Imam e Ka’ba’s message on Hajj and bring back their wealth lying in the other countries so that the economy of the Muslims states could be strengthened.
