Lahore: Flourishing . The more the security situation will be improved, the stronger the economy will thrive. Therefore, a comprehensive security strategy is being implemented in the Punjab province to help national and particularly international businessmen continue the trade activities without any fear and danger.
These views were expressed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman while talking to a 10-member delegation of Pak-Turkish Businessmen Association, who called on him at Central Police Office (CPO) Lahore today. Chairman of the Association, Sehar Rashid, led the delegation while other members including Saadi Yaldrar, Mehmat Kartash, Tannar Kocheet, Shahid Hassan Sheikh, Sohail Akhtar Farooqi, Chaudhry Sultan Mahmood, Yaqoob Tahir Izhar, Fakhir Saeed and Aslam Bhatti were also present in the meeting.
The delegation told the police chief that the trade between Pakistan and Turkey has reached $950 millions per annum. Turkey has launched several projects in the Punjab province including Police Training, Metro Bus Project, Clean Lahore Project, Intelligent Traffic System and E-Parking projects.
The provincial police chief informed the delegation that the Punjab police are put on high-alert to ensure foolproof security for the international businessmen and their offices as well. The IGP assured the delegation that the entire province would be made “safe-heaven” for the international business community like Sheikhupura Region that has been made a place of peace for the international businessmen. The IGP also said that the police are leaving no stone unturned in this regard so that the international business community would be able to continue trade activities without any hurdle or fear.
The Turkish delegation expressed their satisfaction over the security and law and order situation in the Punjab province and thanked to the IGP for extending full cooperation to them in this regard.
Meanwhile, the Turkish delegation presented a piece of painting to the IGP while police Punjab chief also gave souvenirs to the members of the delegation.
