A 15-day training programme started in Punjab Forensic Science Academy

Lahore: A 15-day training programme of international standard has been started in Punjab Forensic Science Academy by Federal Police of Australia in which 21-forensic experts will participate all over the country whereas police, anti-narcotics force, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir’s police have also been included in this forensic training programme. Training with regard to improving the quality, lab matters, improving the leadership abilities, analysis of lab procedures according to ISO 17025 and audit will be imparted.

According to details, head of Australian Federal Police (Forensic) Dr. James Robertson will supervise the course while 21 forensic experts from National Forensic Laboratory Islamabad, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhunkhwa will get training. According to the Director General Punjab Forensic Science Academy Dr.Ashraf Tahir, provision of training of international standard first time in forensic field by Australia is a matter of honour for Punjab government and the Australian High Commission while extending full cooperation has provided the services of Australian police experts. This training programme will continue from 8th to 19th October and training will be provided under laboratory management programme.
