Hundreds of notables from Kasoor quits N- League and joins Q-league

Lahore: Prominent religious and political leader of the country (Late) Maulana Moinuddin Lakhvi’s son and important political figure of district Kasur Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lakhvi along with strong political group of hundreds of notables has left N-League and announced to join Pakistan Muslim League. His party, Jamiat Ahle Hadith has also become permanent ally of the PML.

Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lakhvi made the announcement after meeting with Ch Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi along with hundreds of notables of Kasur at their residence here today.

Addressing the big gathering of former Nazims and Naib Nazims, political leaders, notables and well-known people belonging to all walks of life on this occasion, Pakistan Muslim League senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi said that Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lakhvi from NA 140 and Sardar Waqas Moakal from PP-180 Kasur will be our candidates. Sardar Waqas Moakal is the son of former Deputy Speaker of the Punjab and former Provincial Minister late Sardar Hassan Akhtar Moakal.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that from onwards Jamiat Ahle Hadith will always remain an ally of our party. He said that on this important decision, we are grateful to Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lakhvi’s family and party. He said today’s big gathering depicts his political and religious importance and this would further strengthen our party.

Continuing, Ch Parvez Elahi said that our relationship with the Lakhvi family has been further strengthened, we have personal relationship and Jamiat Ahle Hadith will be our ally throughout Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lakhvi said that N-League would be sunk by dictatorship and arrogance. He said that our journey of service to the people under the leadership of Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi will continue. He maintained that we have family relationship with the Chaudhry family.

He said Pakistan needs a true leader and we would remain together with Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi as long as we are alive.

Jamiat Ahle Hadith Amir Syed Ziaul Rahman Shah Bokhari also addressed the gathering while Jehanzaib Moakal expressed the hope that Baba Bulleh Shah Train between Kasur and Pakpattan will be restored soon.

Besides Amir Syed Ziaul Rahman Shah Bokhari, other office-bearers of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Shaikh Naeem Badshah, Haji Imran Adil, Muhammad Ali, Barakullah Anjum Lakhvi and Dr Zaeemuddin Abid Lakhvi as well as Sardar Waqas Moakal, Sardar Tufail, Sardar Asif Nakai,Ilyas Gujjar, Peer Mazhar, Umar Faooq Lakhvi were among those present.
