Lahore: Young Doctors Association Pakistan has said that Punjab Government needs to appoint regular vice chancellors at King Edward Medical University and University of Health Sciences (UHS),as the full bench of supreme court of Pakistan comprising of Justice Jawad S Khawaja, Justice Saqib Nisar and Justice Tasadduq Jillani on 14th March 2012 had directed the Punjab government to appoint regular vice chancellors at UHS and KEMU in a duration of 3 months but no regular appointments have been made even after the passage of 5 months.
Young Doctors Association Pakistan office bearers bearers Dr. Rana Sohail, Dr. Talha Sherwani, Dr. Ghulam Qasim, Dr. Murtaza Bloch, Dr. Muhammad Khawar Khan, Dr. Shahid Dreshik, Dr. Waqas Gondal, Dr. Shehzad, Dr. Asim, Dr. Shams, Dr. Muhammad Azhar and Dr. Muhammad Amjad have appealed to the Chief Minister Punjab to appoint regular vice chancellors at both medical universities of Punjab. The standard of medical education is deteriorating at both medical universities due to absence of regular Vice Chancellors.
