District Administration raids surprisingly at shops

Lahore: District Coordination Officer Lahore Mr. Noor-ul-Amin Mengal has said that ,today, officers of District Administration had conducted surprise raids to various shops to check the price of essential items.

The District Administration had challaned 14 shops and imposed Rs. 11,700 fine to their owners due to over charging. Moreover, DCO, Lahore Noor ul Amin Mengal revealed that the officers of CDGL had conducted 13192 raids to various shops in the holy month of Ramadan and an amount of Rs. 24,46,600 was received from shopkeepers as fine while 172 FIRs were get registered in different police stations and 183 shopkeepers were arrested due to overcharging and hoarding.
