Health department ready to help flood victims

Lahore: has directed the Director General Health Punjab Dr. Nisar Ahmed Cheema to conduct physical verification of health related relief arrangements made for flood high risk districts including Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura and Lahore.

The Secretary Health gave these instructions while presiding over a meeting regarding reviewing arrangements to ensure provision of quality medical care to the people in flood high risk areas. The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary Health (Technical) Dr. Anwar Janjua, DG Health Punjab Dr. Nisar Cheema and others officers concerned. The meeting took detailed review for provision of medical relief in the concerned districts. Secretary Health directed the DG Health to ensure physical verification, through Directors Health Services, of relief arrangements made in the said districts, alongwith ensuring presence of medical staff and availability of anti-viral vaccines and other medicines. Secretary Health directed the concerned officers to remain vigilant and to keep contact of the situation so that people can be provided prompt help in case of any need.
