Lahore : Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain and senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi have felicitated the entire nation on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Fitr and said that we should today bow before Almighty Allah and offer special prayers for safeguarding security, stability and prosperity of Pakistan and combating the challenges confronting the country effectively and efficiently.

In their separate messages of felicitations on happy occasion of Eidul Fitr, the two leaders said that Pakistan had come into existence in Ramzanul Mubarak as a result of struggle and prayers of our elders and we should today seek blessings of Almighty Allah for transforming this God-given motherland into an Islamic welfare state in line with the Islamic principles. They said that while offering prayers we would also have to pledge that we would always give priority under all circumstances to the interests of the motherland over all personal, groups, party and political interests, we would not spare any sacrifice for its security and stability and make individual and collective efforts for meeting the challenges faced by the country.

Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi further said in their messages that today we should not forget our those brothers, sisters and children who were unable to celebrate Eid due to their poverty nor we should forget those who were forced to take their own lives due to their pressing economic worries. They said that individual and collective efforts would have to be made with sincerity of purpose for elimination of illiteracy, poverty, unemployment and ailments from Pakistan so that a pious and prosperous society free from sorrows is established. They concluded by saying that lessons of patience, piety and firm belief in Almighty Allah, which we learn during Ramzanul Mubarak, should be remembered throughout the year and this great philosophy should be fully applied to our individual and collective life.
