Minister Petroleum Dr Asim Hussain attends Q-League meeting

Lahore:Federal Minister for Petroleum Dr Asim Hussain at the invitation of Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi attended the meeting of the PML Ministers, MNAs and MPAs at the State Guest House here today.
During the meeting, the PML leaders apprised the Minister for Petroleum about matters pertaining to Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (SNGPL) in their respective constituencies. On this, the Federal Petroleum Minister promised to Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi that PML leaders and representatives’ problems would shortly be solved on priority basis.
Ch Shujat Hussain, who was presiding over the meeting, thanked Dr Asim Hussain for coming to Lahore and attending the meeting at their invitation. He said that he along with Ch Parvez Elahi in their recent meetings with the President and the Prime Minister had suggested that the government should now formulate people welfare oriented policies for a period of six months instead of the Five Years Plans adding that the President and the Prime Minister had assured them implementation of their suggestion.
During the meeting PML Ministers and parliamentarians said that with regard to gas, the PML representatives and leaders are facing great problems, works of our MNAs and MPAs are not being done and peoples’ grievances, complaints and problems are not being properly attended. They put up piles of complaints in this regard before Federal Petroleum Minister Dr Asim Hussain.
Anwar Ali Cheema, Shaikh Waqas Akram, Akram Masih Gill, Liaquat Abbas Bhatti, Mehdi Abbas Bhatti, Tahir Iqbal Chaudhry, Sardar Talib Nakai, Col Muhammad Abbas Chaudhry and Dewan Ashiq Hussain were among those present and who apprised the Federal Minister about problems of their respective constituencies.
