Lahore:Member National Assembly, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif today visited Mayo Hospital to enquire after the persons who got injuries due to fire in the office of a private TV Channel Kohe Noor. Members National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq and Mohsin Latif besides Principal Dr. Asad Aslam and DCO Lahore Noorul Ameen Mengal were also present on the occasion.
Hamza Shahbaz Sharif went personally to seven injured under treatment in emergency ward of the hospital and enquired about their health. He directed the hospital administration to provide every possible medical assistance to the injured free of cost. He also consoled the attendants of injured persons and ensured them that every burnt person would be provided all treatment facilities besides full attention of doctors.
Later, while talking to the media, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif expressed his deep sense of grief over this sad incident and said that had the bylaws been followed in the construction of this Media House, the loss of precious lives could have been avoided. He said that after the fire incident at Shahalmi, he had issued strict instructions to the administration with regard to implementation of construction bylaws. However, such incidents cannot be averted without complete cooperation of citizens, he added. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that a committee, headed by Chairman Chief Minister’s Inspection Team, has been constituted to probe the matter which will submit its report within 24 hours. Replying to another question, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that PML-N Disciplinary Committee, by taking action against a leader of the party, has set an example for all national political parties and given a clear message to other political parties that how the parties are run and such steps are indispensable for the supremacy of democracy.
