flood affectees would get model homes soon:DG PDMA

Lahore: Punjab Government has constructed as many as 1885 model homes for the affectees of 2010 floods, out of which keys of 1705 model homes have been distributed among the affectees, while keys of remaining 180 model homes would also be handed over to the affectees soon. These model homes have been constructed at a hefty amount of Rs. 1.6 billion.
This was informed by the Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority Mujahid Sherdil, while addressing officers, belonging to administrative and financial wings of the department. Mujahid Sherdil said that as many as 180 model homes have been constructed in the Tehsils Darya Khan and Rojhan of Districts Bhakkar and Rajanpur, and the keys of these newly-constructed homes would also be handed over to the allottees in a dignified function, soon. He pointed out that all basic facilities of life have been provided in these model homes, including: Schools, TEVTA centers, dispensaries, community sheds, solar-bio energy plants and recreational parks. Mujahid Sheddil asserted that these model homes have been constructed and handed over to the allottees of flood victims, within the stipulated time, which is an unprecedented example of good governance.
