Lahore:Inspector General Police Haji Habib-ur-Rehman has said that under the agreement between Punjab police and Turk police, 17 different training courses are being conducted for the officers of Punjab police.He informed the media after a high level meeting in CPO.The IGP said that police officers have also undergone training in advanced field operation and anti-terrorism in Turkey.
He said that open kutcheries are being conducted throughout the province for the solution of people’s problems and addressing their complaints while reconciliation committee have been constituted for dealing with the complaints of the people at the lower level.
He said that a feedback system has also been evolved to receive people’s reaction. Haji Habib-ur-Rehman further said that 44866 proclaimed offenders have been arrested during the last five months while effective action has been taken against the gangs involved in kidnapping for ransom, dacoity, murder and other heinous crimes due to which crime rate has declined in the province.
