Nawaz Sharif meets Indian High Commissioner in Murree

Indian High Commissioner in Pakistan, Sharat Sabharwal called on the President Pakistan Muslim League-N, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Murree today and discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. Talking to Indian High Commissioner, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that promotion of relations between the two countries on equitable basis is necessary for a lasting peace in the region. He said that Pakistan and India can march towards progress and development by promoting friendly neighborly relations. He said that holding of cricket matches between Pakistan and India is a praiseworthy step. Nawaz Sharif said that development targets can be achieved through peace in the region. He congratulated Indian High Commissioner on the election of Parnab Mukherji as President of India. Sharat Sabharwal appreciated the desire of Nawaz Sharif for peace in the region and said that positive changes can be brought in the living standard of people of the region through friendly relations between Pakistan and India.
