Islamabad:Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf Tuesday said that consensus on the name of Chief Election Commissioner amply manifested government’s commitment to elect next Parliament according to people’s choice by holding free,fair and transparent elections.The Prime Minister was talking to Senator Ms. Suriya Amiruddin and Ms.Natasha Daultana, MNA who called on him separately, at Prime Minister House.The Parliamentarians congratulated the Prime Minister on unanimous selection of justice (retd ) Fakhr-ud-Din G. Ebrahim as Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan. They termed it a positive omen for democratic dispensation as the selection was made both by government and the opposition with complete consensus.The Parliamentarians also apprised the Prime Minister about various development projects in their respective constituencies.The Prime Minister asked the Parliamentarians to focus on the completion of on-going projects in their constituencies.
