Punished for raising voice for the South Punjab people:Yosaf Raza Gillani

Lahore:Ex-Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gillani has said that he was punished for raising voice for the people of South Punjab.

Addressing the media at Lahore Cantt station, Yousaf Raza Gillani said he never wanted to become political martyr. He said that the constitution was supreme and it was parliament that made it. We ensured the stability of the parliament. Pakistan was not a failed state, one prime minister went out, another came in.
Former Prime Minister said that constitution was also present‚ when the judges were detained at their homes.

He said PPP is the party which restored the constitution. He said PPP has the roots in the federation and the next general elections results would not be different from the present one
Regarding Defence Pakistan Council (DPC) long march on NATO supply issue, he said that most of them were chronic ‘jihadis’.
Gillani will be reaching Multan this evening. The PPP has made elaborate arrangements to give him rousing welcome.
He will arrive at Khanewal by train from Lahore‚ where he will be received by the workers and office bearers of PPP as well as people of his constituency.
