He was presiding over a meeting held to review the pre-monsoon arrangements at Commissioner office. The meeting was also attended by all DCOs of the four districts, officers of police, irrigation, WASA, LDA, PHA, LWMC and other departments. He asked the officers to prepare a plan through which any emergent situation could be handled. The Commissioner directed to Civil Defence and Rescue 1122 to remain alert. He further directed the officers to make alternative arrangement of machinery including disposal pumps and generators for smooth flow of rain water from the low lying areas. He directed the officers of health department to make available the first aid medical equipments, medicines and vaccines in all the basic health centers. He directed the officers to remove the debris and waste from the road. He made it clear that there should no rain water on the roads otherwise strict action would be taken against the officer concerned. He directed the officers of all concerned departments to keep a close liaison during the monsoon season.
