PM greets Obama on US Independence Day

Islamabad:On behalf of the Government, the people of Pakistan and on his own behalf, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has conveyed his greetings to US President Barack H. Obama on the US Independence Day falling on Wednesday(today).In his message the Prime Minister said, “I would like to convey our warmest greetings to you and the American people as you celebrate the Independence Day of the United States of America.”“Our two great nations are bound by ideals of freedom, democracy and human rights. We are committed to transform this relationship into a broad and enduring partnership. Pakistan on its part is committed to further strengthening of our mutually beneficial relations and enhanced cooperation for the benefit of our people,” he added.The Prime Minister said, “Availing this opportunity, I also want to convey my very best wishes to you and the people of United States of America, for your continued progress and advancement.”
