Lahore: Punjab government has issued revised fare in consequent upon the recent reduction in fuel prices. Minister Transport Punjab, Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur- Rehman has said that Transport Department has issued formal notification in this regard which will be enforced with immediate effect.
Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman told that, at the first stage fare from 0 to 4km for Diesel fuel transport is fixed Rs. 14/- whereas for CNG fuel transport, the fare will be Rs. 13/-, from 4.1 to 8 km Rs. 19/- and Rs. 18/- will be charged for diesel fuel and CNG fuel transport respectively, from 8.1 to 14km Rs. 24/- for Diesel fuel and Rs. 23/- for CNG fuel transport, 14.1 to 22km Rs. 28/- for Diesel fuel and Rs. 26/- for CNG fuel, 22.1 to 30km Rs. 33/- for Diesel fuel and Rs. 31/- for CNG fuel transport, whereas, from 30.1km to above Rs. 38/- and Rs. 36/- will be charged for Diesel fuel transport and CNG fuel transport respectively. The Minister said that no one will be allowed to charge extra fare and strict action under law will be taken against the violators.
