Ultimate court is court of people: Zardari

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the ultimate court is the court of the people and the ultimate verdict is pronounced by history.Speaking at the oath taking ceremony of new Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf at Awan-e-Sadr, the President said the people and history will give their verdict sooner than later.Referring to the completion of election to the new Prime Minister today, the President said, “The election of the new Prime Minister has come on the birth anniversary of our great leader Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and we have greater reasons to celebrate her birthday.” The President said the detractors of democracy have long been hounding the former prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and they thought that the coalition will not be able to agree on a new Leader of the House.The detractors hoped that it will give them a chance to send the House packing and create political uncertainty, the President said adding that they have been proved wrong.
