CCPO meets delegation of different traders associations

Lahore:CCPO Muhammad Aslam Tareen has directed the City Model Town and Cantt Division SPs to ensure full proof security in different markets and business areas and has directed them to hold meetings with respective traders associations for chalking-out security plan for Ramzan-ul-Mubarik in consultation with them.

This direction was issued by him, here Friday, during his meeting with a 13 member delegation of office bearers belonging to different trade and business associations. He said that provision of a peaceful and tranquil environment in the city would be ensured with the mutual cooperation with the traders and citizens so that trade activities could flourish in a conducive atmosphere.

Tareen pointed out that installation of CCTV Cameras in Business centers and markets was of prime importance as they were a great help in identifying the criminals in case of some sorry occurrence. He also urged the trades to deploy guards in the markets and noted that this step would help improving internal security of the markets.

He said that Lahore Police was striving for making the city a citadel of peace and said that the criminal elements would be dealt with an iron fist and peace & security of traders and common man would be ensured by taking effective action against the ante-social elements.

The traders besides giving different suggestions also pointed out some of the problems confronting them upon which on the spot direction were issued by the Additional IG/CCPO to the concerned quarters.

Participants of the meeting included trade and business association representatives Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmed, Ansar Zahoor Butt, Hamayun Iqbal, Sheikh Saleem, Sheikh Ghulam Mohy-u-Din, Hafiz Abdul Malik, Malick Liquat, Mian Muhammad Saleem. Sheikh Zaheer, Sheikh Safdar Ali, Waseem Hanif, Muhammad Qasim, Nisar Ahmed and others concerned.
