Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari Tuesday said Pakistan and the United Kingdom need to make sustained efforts to achieve the target of 2.5 billion pound trade by 2015, set under their Trade and Investment Roadmap. He was talking to the UK Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, William Hague, here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The President expressed satisfaction that the bilateral trade was following an upward trajectory and Pakistan offered great opportunities to the British entrepreneurs to invest in various sectors.
The President called for encouraging exchange of businessmen from the two countries to further strengthen their economic interaction. He expressed satisfaction over the progress made under the Enhanced Strategic Dialogue and said it was a manifestation of common resolve to comprehensively upgrade relationship between the two countries.
