Minister Health seek Rescue 1122 support to overcome COVID-92

The placement of human resource of 246 rescue paramedics of Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) would be given to the Health Department to help the corona patients in the hospitals on desired of Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid.

Specialized training is being imparted to the rescuer paramedics at Expo center in collaboration of Doctors, the nursing staff of Mayo Hospital under the supervision of Rescue officers and instructors of Emergency Services Academy. The rescue paramedics would be trained on chest physiotherapy, use of a ventilator, donning and doffing of corona kits etc.        

In this regard, Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid on Tuesday visited the Expo centre Field Hospital and witnessed the training of rescue paramedics being imparted to handle the corona patients.

She was received by DG Rescue Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer where they briefed the minister about the Rescue Triage Center, corona emergency patients shifting, the burial of corona patients and above all triage-centre established at Expo centre.

The Health Minister was accompanied by the CEO Mayo Hospital Lahore, Prof Dr Muhammad Aslam, DG Rescue Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer, senior officers from Rescue 1122 headquarters and Academy.

While addressing rescuer paramedics Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid said the determination of the rescuers is admirable. She said that all rescue paramedics are determined to sever the corona patients.

The minister maintained said that after getting training all these rescuers would be deployed on disposal of Mayo Hospital for caring of corona patients.

Dr Yasmeen Rashid appreciated the trainers for providing training to the rescue paramedics.  She expressed that being a nation we have to defeat the corona.

At this occasion, DG Rescue Punjab said that this advance training would enhance the professional capacity of the rescue paramedics. He said that said training course would also help rescue paramedics to deal with the serious corona emergency patients.

Dr Rizwan Naseer said that all rescuers are getting their training after wearing the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). He also thanked the Health Minister for proving advance training to the Rescue paramedic.
