The corona policy causing chaos all around : Liaqat Baloch

Lahore : Deputy Chief of the Jamaat e Islami Liaqat Baloch
has said that the corona policy of the government lacked national
consensus and was causing confusion and chaos all around.

Addressing the provincial heads of the party and members of
the JI standing committee for political affairs through teleconference from Mansoora, he said that lock down had ruined national economy but the corona virus had not been brought under control as yet. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was the team leader and was therefore responsible for the present state of affairs.

He said that in a controlled democracy, a clash between politics and the state was something natural. He said that the parliament and the assemblies had been made ineffective.

Liaqat Baloch said that the 2018 elections had been rigged but all the stake holders had kept quite with the hope that positive results would follow. However, he said, that all hopes for the good had dashed to the ground.
He said that favouritism of the Qadyanis was a stigma on the
face of the government. He warned that any tinkering with the 18 th

amendment would add to the hatred between the centre and the
provinces.

The teleconference was attended by JI deputy chief Rashid Naseem, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha., Mian Muhammad Aslam, Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Husain Mehnati, Rao Muhammad Zafar , Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi, Javed Kasuri, Dr Saleem Dogar and others.

At the conference, the Standing Committee members expressed the view that the political, economic and social crisis in the country was a serious threat to the national harmony and unity. They were of the view that the sugar and atta scandal, and the scams regarding concerning medicines and energy production besides the government’s failure to transfer the benefits of the record fall in the world oil market to the people were the irrefutable evidence of the incompetence of the Imran khan regime. They said that a strong local government system would have greatly helped in providing relief to the masses in the midst of the corona crisis.

The meeting strongly condemned Modi government’s fascism and anti Muslim policies in India and Held Kashmir. It urged the world community and the Muslim states to pressurize India to stop the massacre of the Kashmiris.
