Nursing College of Lahore General Hospital starts new programmes for the nurses

Lahore : A 4-year’s Degree Program and One-Year Neuro Specialization Diploma has been launched for the first time at the Nursing College of Lahore General Hospital and 4610 for 100 seats of 4-year BSN Degree Program while 31 nurses have completed pre-mathematics test for 20 seats of one year Neuro Specialization Diploma.

Talking in this regard, Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute, Ameer Uddin Medical College and Lahore General Hospital Prof. Dr. Sardar Mohammad Alfreed Zafar, said that admission in Nursing Degree Program and Neuro Specialization will be in accordance with Punjab Governments policy and every possible step will be taken to promote the institution.

Principal PGMI said that the first merit list will be displayed on April 25 and nurses selected for the degree program will get monthly stipend of Rs. 31,470 similarly the one-year neuro-specialization diploma students will receive monthly salary as well. Prof. Al-freed further said that this training will improve the quality of patient care and also enhance the dignity of the nursing profession.

Principal PGMI directed the college administration to conduct a thorough investigation while preparing the merit list. The candidate should not be discouraged at any cost. He added that nursing is the only segment of medical department where the students get monthly stipend along with the courses and also have the opportunity to serve the suffering humanity.

Principal College Kausar Tasneem told that most of the applications of specialization diploma have gathered from LGH and PINS which is a good omen. Instructor Fazelit Chaudhry and Shahnaz Dar were also present on this occasion.
