Senior journalist Hassan Jafri died in a accident

Lahore : Senior photo journalist Hassan Jafri died in a accident. Inna Lillahe wa Inna Elehe Rajeune. He was working with Daily Din and seeking salary for a few months. He was quite depressed like other members of journalist community who were not being paid for several months.

Hassan Jafri on Friday evening fell unconsciously in the canal after hitting with a vehicle, journalist community on this info reached at the venue and started search with camera lights as Rescue 1122 team went back from the scene excusing that they did not have the lights and other equipments necessary for search in canal . But after a few while they came back and lead the search.

Later , after 4 to 5 hours search Hassan Jafri body was found from canal near Beijing underpass.

Hassan Jafri’s death left a question behind for the Pakistanni society that who is responsible for his sad demise ,the media house which failed to fulfill its duty to pay in time , the government which failed to ensure timely payment to workers of the media houses or the journalists own unions which could not played its role to safeguard the rights of its members.???
