Liaqat Baloch welcomed a stringent accountability in the armed forces

Lahore : Acting Ameer of the Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Liaqat Baloch, has welcomed a stringent accountability in the armed forces at the highest level and said the step would strengthen national security.

Addressing the central advisory council of the Milli Yakjehti Council, he said that spying for foreign intelligence agencies was highly detrimental to national security.

The JI acting Ameer however said that the presidential reference against most respected judges of the superior judiciary known for delivering strong judgments in line with the constitution despite President Arif Alvi’s reservations in this regard, had surprised the nation. He said it appeared that the pressure on the superior judiciary was being increased. However, he said, undue pressure on the judiciary would provide a cause for protest. He said that the increasing restrictions on the judiciary and the media were harmful for the democratic system.

Liaqat Baloch said that the enforcement of the system of the Madina state was essential for solving the problems facing the country. He deplored that Prime minister Imran Khan had taken U turn from his promise in this respect. He said that the religious parties would intensity public pressure for the enforcement of the sublime system practiced in the Madina state and would also highlight the social, educational and judiciary system of the Islamic state.

The JI acting Ameer said that all religious parties were of the considered opinion that the unity of the Muslim Ummah would help solve the problems of the Muslim world. He said that peace in the world was not possible without solving the issues of Palestine and Kashmir.

He said that Narindera Modi government in India was facing recession and other economic problems and the threats to Pakistan from India were likely to increase in the days ahead,

He counseled Prime Minister Imran Khan to unify the nation to gain strength as any outside support would not work.
