Motorway Police arrested arrested

Lahore: The National Highways & Motorway police, Central Zone on Monday have arrested three members of an inter-provincial gang of robbers and recovered car, illegal arms & ammunition and looted amount from their possession on national highway near Chung, Lahore .

Motorway Police Beat 12, Maraka received a helpline call about a suspicious car which was observed on highway with armed persons.  On a tip-off, a Motorway police squad led by DSP Farakh Shah, Inspector Asif Ayub, SI Mustansar Abbasi took positions on different places. Motorway Police officers intercepted the said car after a brief chase near Chung and arrested three criminals  .

The arrested outlaws were identified as Sadaqat Ali, Ali Raza and M Javed .  Police also recovered car, sophisticated weapons and cash from them. In the initial investigation the arrested outlaws confessed that they had been involved in criminal activities. On the directions of SSP Masroor Alam the arrested criminals have been handed over to local police of PS Chung for further interrogations.NH&MP DIG Ahmad Arslan Malik appreciated the efforts of patrolling officers and advised them to work diligently to uphold the department’s image.
