PTI plays the war siren in Punjab

Lahore : Provincial Minister for Law Raja Basharat has said that government is committed to enhance the powers of the assembly and standing committees have been strengthened. PTI and its allies have reposed confidence over Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and after that nothing is left after it.

He was talking to the media outside Punjab Assembly today. Raja Basharat said that opposition is unnerved which raised the slogan of Go Nawaz while standing on the stairs. The politicians should change their behavior. He said that opposition should play its role to strengthen the assembly instead of hiding the corruption of its leadership and replying to the questions of the media he said that cases of Aleem Khan and Hamza Shahbaz are in the NAB and the government has nothing to do with it. There is no threat to assembly if Hamza is not become the PAC chairman

He said that the constitution has given the right of legislation to the assembly and we are using the same right. No organization could dictate the government in this regard. He said that procedure of removal of district chairman or tehsil chairman in the new bill would be with two-third majority. However, non-confidence movement cannot be moved against the elected representatives and during the first and the last year.

He said that things are getting improved in all matters along with the working relationship with opposition. The consensus of 19 and 21 was reached upon with the opposition with regard to standing committees and we are firm about it.
