Siraj ul Haq met Lankan Envoy,express grief on terror attack

Lahore : A Jamaat e Islami delegation headed by the JIP Ameer, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, visited the Sri Lankan embassy in Islamabad on Monday to express its feelings of deep grief over the large scale deaths caused by terrorist strikes in Colombo on Easter.

The delegation at its meeting with the Sri Lankan envoy, offered its condolences over the huge loss of life in the incidents.

In a letter addressed to the Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena, delivered to the envoy, the JI chief strongly condemned the terrorism in his country and expressed profound grief over the large scale deaths and injuries to hundreds worshippers. He assured the Sri Lankan President that the people of Pakistan and the leadership of the Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, stood with them in their hour of grief.

The JIP Ameer also expressed condolences to the families of victims of terrorism. He said that the terrorists wanted to destabilize the Sri Lankan government through such activities but they would not succeed in their nefarious designs.
