DIG Investigation Lahore Dr Inam Waheed removed

Lahore : On the orders of Chief Minister Punjab, DIG Investigation Dr Inam Waheed has been made OSD and two other police officers have been suspended over the issue of submitting misleading report on a complaint filed at Pakistan Citizen Portal. Those who have been suspended include Incharge Investigation Police Station Manawan Farrukh Riaz and ASI Shafiq Mohsin.

The Chief Minister has also ordered Director General Anti-Corruption Establishment Ijaz Shah to complete inquiry and submit a report within one week.

A woman of Lahore had filed a complaint on Pakistan Citizen Portal for recovery of her kidnapped daughter. The Prime Minister Office had ordered the Punjab government to conduct an inquiry into the matter of repeatedly submitting misleading report by Punjab Police.
