Nawaz Sharif released from Kot Lakhpat jail at midnight

Lahore : Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been released from Kot Lakhpat jail on bail at midnight. An impressive charged crowd of PML-N workers received him with sky touching slogans of “wazir e azam Nawaz Sharif , sher”. The workers gathered outside Kot Lakhpat jail soon after the judgment of the supreme court without any call from the party leadership and waited for hours to see a glimpse of their beloved Quaid.

Jail authorities informed the imprisoned former prime minister about his bail but refused to release on fax intimation by the Adyala jail authorities on technical grounds.

Later PML- N leader Tariq Fazal Ch reached by a charter plane from Islamabad to Lahore in the night and handed over the robkar to jail staff and after fulfilling the formalities, Nawaz Sharif was released around 12-45 AM on 27th of March 2019.

Opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif, Pervaiz Rasheed ,Afzal Khokhar and many more leaders reached Kot Lakhpat jail to receive Nawaz Sharif.
