Lahore : Patron in chief of Pakistan Hindu Council Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani has expressed extreme anger on the alleged abduction of two minor Hindu girls on the eve of Holi. According to a press release issued on Friday, he asked higher authorities to take measures for early recovery of innocent girls named Reena and Raveena.
Dr Ramesh Vankwani, who is also Member of National Assembly, demanded for taking strict action against culprits, saying that such extremist elements are bringing bad name to entire country and raising sense of insecurity among innocent minorities.
“Pakistani Hindu community, this year, has dedicated the Holi festival to Pakistan Day for paying tribute to Quaid-e-Azam and Pakistan Movement,” he said. However, this is most unfortunate that at the same time some extremists succeeded to target patriotic Hindu community to fulfill their vested interests. Dr Ramesh regretted.
Dr Ramesh emphasized to adopt strict policies, like dealing banned extremist organizations, against such abductors in letter and spirit throughout the country.
According to media reports, two underage Hindu sisters had been kidnapped by people from the Kohbar and Malik tribes on the eve of Holi. The FIR, number 76/2019, of the incident is registered in Daharki Police Station on behalf of the victims’ brother, Shaman Das.
