Lahore : Provincial Minister EPD M.Rizwan has said that water problem across the country is increasing day by day and water conservation is very important for the future of our children. He said that Textile industry sector should install Air Pollution control system and liquid effluent treatment plants in conformity with Punjab Environmental quality standards.
He expressed these views while talking with delegation of APTMA at committee room of EPD in his very first official meeting on Tuesday. Delegation comprised on Faisalabad, Lahore and Gujranwala Industrialist led by Chairman Engineer Rizwan. Issues regarding construction of wastewater treatment plants & installation Air pollution control equipments, improvement of sanitary conditions inside/ outside industrial units, tree plantation and landscaping in and around Industrial units were discussed in the meeting.
Secretary Dr. Zafar told the delegation that especially industry belong to Faisalabad and Lahore is going to be inspected soon to ensure EPA’s standard.
Minister M.Rizwan said to the delegation that the technical team of Department will fully cooperate to minimize Sewerage issues in textile industry. He assured to the delegation full support to overcome problems facing by industry regarding Air pollution, Sanitary and wastewater issues.
Secretary EPD Dr. Zafar, DG EPD, Director Naeem and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
