Police must behave politely with complainants visiting Police Stations : CCPO B A Nasir

Lahore : Capital City Police Officer Lahore Additional IG B.A Nasir has strictly directed that all police officers and officials must behave politely with all complainants visiting Police Stations for redressal of the grievances.

He was addressing  ‘Police Darbar’ held at District Police Lines today. DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Waqas Nazir, DIG Investigation Dr. Inam Waheed, DIG Security Imran Ahmed, CTO Capt (R) Malik Liaqat, SSP Admin Muntazir Mehdi, SP HQ Syed Karar Hussain Shah, divisional SPs and other officers of Lahore Police were also present during the Darbar. “Citizen visit police stations only in certain circumstances. Behaving politely, shaking hands with the complainants or offering them chair does not cost anything. Hearing grievances with patience and solving them on merit was the prime duty of police” said the CCPO.

During the Darbar, Police officers and officials openly shared their problems with the high ups while the CCPO issued necessary directions on the spot.

The CCPO also directed the DIG Operations to look in to the matter of renewal of MOUs with various private educational institutions regarding education of children of serving and Shaheed Police Employees. “Always feel pride to be part of police service. Our uniform should be source of authority of law and serving humanity” advised the CCPO.

He further directed the field staff to avoid fake recoveries and discourage ‘Tout Culture’. “Every accused is innocent until he is proved guilty by the Court of Law. Police Force should not accept any pressure and continue helping general masses which is their mandatory professional duty” said B.A Nasir. 

CCPO further said that any police employee can see him for any problem any time, however he warned that violation of law would not be tolerated at any cost. He also assured that promotion cases of police employees would be resolved on fast track.
