Lahore : Punjab senior minister Abdul Aleem Khan has expressed reservations over the working and performance of Turk Companies working the field of waste management. He has asked to submit all the details of resources, machinery and manpower involved in this process along with contract terms and conditions.
Senior Minister while presiding over a high level meeting indicated that gradually in all of the cities dumping sites should be replaced with the recycling plants so that citizens could be provided congenial atmosphere. He claimed that after the involvement of foreign companies in the waste management the situation is more worsen and people are not satisfied with the performance presently.
Abdul Aleem Khan said that Turk companies will have to deliver and come up to the mark and there would be no compromise on results. He asked the Ozpak and Albayrak to come forward and help in recycling the garbage by producing fertilizer, gases and other usable items.
Senior Minister said that in future including all the foreign companies will be given equal opportunities to bid for the cleanliness work in the major cities of Punjab and there would be no favoritism in this regard.
He said that Ozpak & Albayrak should own their responsibility and immediately take steps for the improvement. Abdul Aleem Khan pointed out that he gave plenty of time for three months and now there is no excuse to be entertained and system has to deliver otherwise responsibility will be fixed and stern action will be taken accordingly.
