PM Imran Khan coldly received by Turkish

Ankara : Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday
arrived Ankara on two-day official visit , he was
received at Ankara airport by Turkish Minister for Trade Ruhsar Pekjan. Chairman of Pakistan-Turkey Cultural Association Burhan Kayaturk was also present, said a PM Office statement.

He was scheduled to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and address a business forum.

Prime Minister Imran Khan is visiting Turkey along with a high level delegation including Foreign
Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umar, Planning Minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, Advisor on Trade Abdul
Razak Dawood and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Zulfikar Bukhari.

The prime minister would address a business forum tonight (Thursday) in Turkish capital.

Earlier, in Turkish city of Konya, the prime minister along with his delegation visited the tomb of renowned Persian poet, jurist and Islamic scholar Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi. He offered Fateha and
laid a wreath at the grave.

It would be pertinent to mention here that when former prime minister Nawaz Sharif visited Turkey ,president Recep Tayyip Erdogan  himself welcomed Pakistani premier . He was given gun salute and guard of honour but this time only state minister received Pakistan’s prime minister which indicate that both countries are not experiencing such friendship like in the past.
