NAB arrest 9 officials including SSP Rai Ijaz Ahmad

Lahore : NAB has arrested 9 officials including former DPO Gujrat SSP Rai Ijaz Ahmad whereas raids are being conducted for the arrest of his father Rai Zameer who also served in the same district as DPO.

They other arrested officials are District Accounts Officer Chan Peer , Deputy Director Budget ( former District Accounts Officer ) Muhammad Afzal ,Naqdi Moharar Muhammad fayyaz ,ritd constable DPO office Rameez Ahmad ,senior auditor accounts Muhammad Ashraf ,Manager NBP Muhammad Asif Butt ,Operation Manager NBP Shakeel Ahmad ,Sagheer Anwar Petrol Pump Owner and Gulam Sarwar petrol Pump owner .

The accused were wanted in corruption of Rs millions. Rai Ijaz is a PSP officer and these days he was serving in Sindh police. His transfer was made during interim setup before general elections 2018. He was transferred to Sindh on the recommendations of then IGP Amjad Javaid Saleemi who is now serving as IGP Punjab.

Rai Zameer was demoted to the rank of inspector by the IGP by following the orders of Supreme court in out of turn promotion case . After that he did not take any posting and prefered to end his career as a police officer.
